1. Eligibility
To do CA course, One can enter after completing 12th standard he/she can be either from Science, Commerce, Arts stream. Students who are willing to do after 10th could do it's compulsory to clear 12th examination board. There is no percentage required in 12th.
After Graduation Students can also enter this entry is called direct entry to intermediate level. No need to do Foundation.
2. CA course Stages
• Foundation
Foundation is the First and the base of CA
In this there are Four Papers
Paper 1 — Principles and Practice of Accounting (100 Marks)
Paper 2 — Business Law and Business Correspondence and Reporting (BL 60 & BCR 40)
Paper 3 — Business Mathematics, Logical Reasoning and Statistics (100 marks)
Paper 4 — Business Economics and Business Commercial knowledge (BE 60 & BCK 40)
Paper 1 & 2 will be Descriptive and Paper 3 & 4 will be Objective.
Passing Criteria — Minimum 200 Marks have to be scored by the candidate and in every Paper 40 Marks minimum.
There will Negative Markings in Objective Papers. (0.25)
• CA Intermediate
Two Groups in Inter
Group 1 and 2
Group 1 have 4 subjects and group 2 also have 4 subjects
Group 1 —
Paper 1 — Accounting (100 Marks)
Paper 2 — Corporate and other Law (Company Law 60 and others 40 marks)
Paper 3 — Cost and Management Accounting (100 marks)
Paper 4 — Taxation (Income Tax Law 60 and Indirect Tax 40 marks)
Group 2 —
Paper 5 — Advance Accounting (100 Marks)
Paper 6 — Auditing and Assurance (100 Marks)
Paper 7 — Enterprise Information Systems & Strategic Management (EIS 50 and SM 50 marks)
Paper 8 — Finance Management & Economics for Finance (FM 60 and EF 40 marks)
Here at Inter level same passing criteria minimum 50% and 40% in each subject. Exam will both the types objective and descriptive.
• After Cleared CA Inter Candidates have to do 3 years of Article-ship or Practical training from the CA firm.

Paper 5 — Strategic Cost Management and Professional Ethics (100 marks)
Paper 6 — a. Risk Management (100 Marks)
b. Financial Services and Capital market (100 marks)
c. International Taxation (100 marks)
d. Economics laws (100 marks)
e. Global Financial Reporting Standards (100 Marks)
f. Multidisciplinary case study (100 Marks )
Paper 7 — Direct Tax Laws and International Taxation (70 and 30 mars)
Paper 8 — Indirect Tax Laws (75 GST and 25 custom & FTP)
After all this level clearing you will become Chartered Accountant in India.
